Guide to Hanging your LCD TV

After buying a new LCD TV the next thing that you will do is to mount it. The LCD TV is a great appliance that can be a highlight of your living room or den. In lieu of TV stands, you can hang your LCD or Plasma TV above a nice console. There are some companies that would charge extra when you let them hang that TV on your wall. Actually you can do this on your own if you have the basic carpentry skills. The first thing to do is to locate the spot where you want to hang your TV. An idea is to hang first a cardboard where you want to place the TV. Mark it with a pencil. This would serve as your guide where will you hang the TV. The second step is to see if the cords and the power source can be access to the spot where you will hang the tv. It is frustrating that you would spend the whole day hanging the tv and in the end you need a 40 ft extension cord. It is best to be creative in the hiding the cords. Another option is to drill the wall and thread behind it until it is near the outlet.
The next step is dealing with stud finder. There are some that could be rented. Locate them and mark it with a pencil. This would keep the weight of the TV balance. It would make the tv safer if you mount the studs directly. Drill the holes to secure the brackets. The LCD TV should have system on the back to safely secure the hardware on the well. It is best to make that the LCD TV is mounted securely on the wall. Hanging the LCD TV is easy once you know that basic steps. Make sure that you have tools if you will do it on your own. It is best the LCD TV is mounted well.
